Is there a fee to switch?
We do not charge a switching fee. You pay for 12 months of our registered agent service, and your state's own filing fee for the change, which ranges from $0 in some states to around $50 in others. We tell you the exact state fee before we file.
Do I need to tell my old registered agent?
No. Once the state records the change, your previous agent is replaced automatically. It is still worth cancelling any auto-renewal you have with them.
How long does the change take?
Most states process a change of registered agent within a few business days to two weeks. Some states update online instantly.
Will my business be without an agent during the switch?
No. Your current agent remains on record until the state approves the change, so there is no gap.
